Security tags on clothes makes a statement!!

The statement you hope to make by putting security tags on clothes is that you will not tolerate theft in your store.  I find some business leaders hesitant to make a stand against shoplifting.  They are worried that by using clothing security tags they will lose business as well.  I hate to be negative, but that thought process could not be further from the truth.  The fact is, using clothing security will increase sales.

Use merchandising to help you prevent shoplifting.

Many business owners know how impactful merchandise presentation can be for sales.  Did you also know it has a huge impact on your ability to prevent shoplifting as well?  It does.  Shoplifters, especially professionals, aim to get in the store, steal your merchandise and exit as rapidly as possible.  To this end where and how you have your merchandise set up plays a large role in your susceptibility to being stolen from.

Generation Thief

Unsupervised juvenile shoppers sometimes require their own stop shoplifting attention. Unfortunately teenagers are still developing their sense of right and wrong as well as trying to rebel against authority. So just what is best way to handle suspicious teenagers without chewing them up and spitting them out?

 Although youthful shoplifters may appear bold at times, that is usually just to impress their peers.  They of course prefer to avoid detection, or in some cases find a reason not to shoplift.  In ten years of working with a local county juvenile probation department in their anti shoplifting campaign, I came across very few juvenile offenders who were alone when the committed the act of shoplifting.

Retail theft prevention for Grocery Stores.

If you work in the grocery business you know that theft is a real part of everyday life.  When I first started working Loss Prevention in this retail setting I was blown away at the amount of theft that occurs.  To that end it is important to use anti shoplifting devices, such as Checkpoint security tags, in an effort to prevent theft.  True retail theft prevention is about deterring theft as opposed to reacting to it.  This is even more important in a grocery store.

Bare racks don’t sell products. Use clothing security tags to keep the product where it belongs.

We have all found that it takes merchandise to make sales.  Sometimes this can be a problem.  On the one hand shoplifters may be taking the product.  On the other you may be hesitant to fill displays because you know the shoplifters are on the way.  The best way to win this fight is to use clothing security tags and a good clothing alarm.

 I personally like Checkpoint systems.  The Checkpoint tags are great and cost effective.  Additionally, the Checkpoint clothing alarm is reliable and a great deterrent to shoplifting.  Thieves will pay attention to when you start putting security tags on clothes.  This creates a few problems for shoplifters.  First, they now have to worry about setting off the clothing alarm and being recognized.  This will reduce the number of times a shoplifter will try to steal from your business.

For those of you that don’t know, hair extensions are all the rage today in the fashion industry. They are quick and easy means for women to change the style of their hair instantly.
