Let’s start with the basics, refunded merchandise does not cause inventory shrink. If someone stole the merchandise and then refunded it, it is generally called a fraudulent refund. Fraudulent refunds are just as problematic as shoplifting, especially when you are lacking bottle security.

We have all been there. I am referring to those times that we go to a store just needing one or two last minute items, and end up getting stuck in a ridiculously long line with an even longer wait. This is the story of one of those times where having Alpha Security bottle locks or another form of bottle security, might have changed the entire outcome.

It was a Friday night and business was booming. There were people coming in to party and have a good time, the alcohol was being sold, and amazing profit was being made. Beautiful weather is great for traveling. I love a great road trip that takes me to a picturesque, off the beaten path, place. Usually, I see signs for the local wineries along the way. I recently came across an bottle security and theft of alcohol. Well, this one was had nothing to do with alcohol or liquor bottle security.

This owner had been smart enough to use bottle locks for his bottle security- specifically the Alpha Security EASy Bottle. His inventory was right in line where it needed to be, at least in the alcohol department. He was having an issue with his mixers.
