CableLok – Alpha Security

Within the Alpha Security family of products to prevent shoplifting, Alpha 2 Alarm and Alpha 3 Alarm are not actual products but rather identifiers of the technology that is utilized. Lets take a closer look at one of their retail anti theft devices- the CableLok.

A CableLok is a portable and reusable locking system. It is an alarm base with an attached lanyard that is threaded through or around the merchandise to secure it and prevent shoplifting. The cable lanyard comes in three sizes: 6”, 48” and 72”.

There are two options of alarm systems to choose from- either the Alpha 3 Alarm or the Alpha 2 Alarm.

Standard EAS protection if a breech occurs is the first part of the Alpha 2 Alarm system. The second part provides an early warning alarm if the lock is tampered with inside of the store.

The Alpha 3 Alarm incorporates those same functionalities. Additionally, the third alarm is the 95 dBA self alarm if the lock and merchandise is removed from the store. The long lasting lithium battery, flashing light and visible speaker are standard on both models of the CableLok.

So the Alpha 2 Alarm and the Alpha 3 Alarm are not the actual retail anti theft devices. They are the alarming parts of the products like the Alpha Security CableLok.
