I have found over the years with my Loss Prevention Experiences I have developed a knack for irritating my family when we go shopping. While they may look at merchandise, I look at merchandise protection. I don’t mean to irritate them, but my wife may be looking at comforters and I am looking at how easy it would be to stuff it with merchandise. My boys may be looking at video games and I do too, then I look at what the store is doing to prevent shoplifting of them. I even listen to my daughter tell me about her day at her retail job and suspected shoplifters they had in the store and I ask about the retail anti-theft devices they use.
